Discovering natural alternatives to unhealthy, chemically saturated products is a pursuit that was fostered by my grandmother many years ago. I found it amazing that her home remedies could be so effective and that nature could be so powerfully beneficial. Aloe Butter - The Aloe Vera plant has long been nown for its medicinal properties. Aloe butter is an extraction of aloe plant using a fatty coconut fraction to produce a soft-solid which melts on contact with the skin. Aloe butter aids in rapid hydration of dry skin caused by eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, sun burn, wind burn, and general chapping.
Argan Oil - Known as “liquid gold”, argan oil is rich in antioxidants like vitamin E and fatty acids, which are crucial in fighting oxidative stress caused by environmental factors. Beeswax - I use unrefined, locally sourced beeswax simply because it retains it’s beautiful yellow color and lovely honey scent. It smells so good! Its analgesic, antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties help damaged skin heal and relieves irritation, redness, and itching.

Soaking Bath Salts - All the ingredients in my bath salts possess similar benefits. Salt soaks naturally contain high levels of minerals, particularly magnesium that can be absorbed through the skin. A luxurious salt bath can increase hydration, soothe inflammation, calm dry and itchy skin and relax sore muscles.
Sunflower Oil - This nutrient-rich, gentle oil protects the skin and helps to reduce redness and irritation. An extra soothing oil with a rich omega and anti-oxidant profile.
Sweet Almond Oil - Packed with vitamins E and D as well as magnesium, calcium, and essential fatty acids. These nutrients nourish the skin and help combat oxidative stress, which can lead to premature aging. Lightweight and fast absorbing, it’s beneficial for all skin types and can help relieve eczema and psoriasis.
Tapioca Starch - This modified form of tapioca binds with essential oils to help preserve their scent and distribute them evenly throughout bath salts. As a bonus, it helps to soften your skin while you soak!
Vitamin E - Grandma’s favorite remedy! Vitamin E, or tocopherol, is a fat-soluble vitamin with numerous antioxidant benefits. It’s anti-inflammatory properties can help calm irritated skin and reduce redness. The emollient properties help seal in moisture, keeping the skin hydrated and preventing dryness.
